According to China's most recent population census in 2020, the population of Generation Z (defined as born between 1995 and 2009) reached 232.7 million, while Generation Y (defined as born between 1980 and 1994) surpassed 315.4 million. The aging society is expected to become a major challenge for China in the coming decades.
