In 2019, a viewer in Brazil spent, on average, 377 minutes (six hours and 17 minutes) per day watching TV. In 2009, the average amounted to 318 minutes (five hours and 18 minutes). This represents an increase of over 18 percent over a decade. Globo, Record, and SBT were among the most-viewed TV channels in Brazil as of early 2022.
