Ethanol fuel sugarcane consumption in Brazil 2012-2023
In 2023, Brazil's ethanol fuel production from sugarcane as a feedstock was estimated to amount to nearly 403 million metric tons. During the period of consideration, Brazilian ethanol fuel production from sugarcane as a feedstock peaked in 2019 at 450 million metric tons. Of all feedstocks used to produce ethanol fuel in Brazil, sugarcane was by far the leading source.
