Newspapers and magazines were the only advertising channels that recorded a negative growth rate in Central and Eastern Europe in 2021 compared to other segments. Internet advertising witnessed a significant increase in spending, at 35 percent. Furthermore, advertisers in the CEE region were forecast to sharply increase their expenditure on cinema ads by over 45 percent in 2022.
