As of January 2024, the most popular sources through which internet users in France discovered new brands and products were ads on search engines, word-of-mouth recommendations from friends and family and product samples. According to 16.2 percent of surveyed respondents TV ads aided them to find out about new brands, while 11.5 percent said the same about advertising on websites.
