Mexico: main messenger app users by community 2023

According to a 2023 survey, the majority of the messenger app users in Mexico lived in large cities with populations between 100 thousand to 1 million inhabitants. In contrast, most of the users of Google Chat, iMessage and Telegram lived in megacities with over 5 million inhabitants. Moreover, besides being used by more than 92 percent of the country's population, WhatsApp users were the most representative of which type of community where messenger app users lived.

City with over 1 million inhabitants: 1,000,000 to 5,000,000 inhabitants
Megacity with over 5 million inhabitants: 5,000,000 to 10,000,000 inhabitants / 10,000,000 and more inhabitants
