Victoria and Albert Museum: visitor numbers 2022

The number of visitors to the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London, England, experienced a dramatic drop in 2020/2021 over the previous fiscal year. From March 2020 onwards, museums and similar cultural institutions in the country had to close for long periods due to emergency restrictions introduced to face the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. As a result of the closures, the V&A recorded only 130 thousand visitors between April 2020 and March 2021, the lowest attendance reported since 2011. In the following fiscal year, 2021/2022, the number of visitors to the museum increased to nearly 1.2 million.
