Samsung Ships Twice as Many Smartphones as Apple in Q2

Samsung extended its lead in the smartphone market in the second quarter of 2013. The Korean electronics giant shipped 72.4 million devices, more than the rest of the Top 5 vendors shipped combined. Apple meanwhile remains a distant second, but saw its shipment growth decelerate as the premium smartphone market shows signs of saturation.
