Ahead of the Republican and Democratic party conventions later this month, registered voters consider the economy the most important issue of the 2016 election campaign. Pew Research found that 84 percent of U.S. voters say the economy is "very important" to their vote, ahead of terrorism which has 80 percent and foreign policy with 75 percent.
