Top motivators for canceling SVOD and/or cable TV subscriptions in Mexico 2021
During a survey conducted in Mexico in September 2021, respondents were asked to choose up to three motivators for canceling a video streaming or cable TV subscription. About 55 percent of the interviewees listed a rise in the monthly fee as a reason for cord-cutting. Around 44 percent mentioned the lack of their favorite shows as a motivator. It was estimated that there were over 19 million video-on-demand (VOD) subscribers in Mexico in 2022.
