In 2023, the average engagement rate on Instagram for accounts with between 10 thousand and 100 thousand followers stood at 6.89 percent. Accounts with this number of followers had the highest average engagement rate. Engagement rates dropped as the number of followers grew, and accounts with over five million followers or more reached an average engagement rate of 2.61 percent.
