As of June 2023, Jennie of Blackpink was the most followed South Korean celebrity on Instagram with approximately 79.56 million followers. The most followed individual male celebrity was V of BTS. The group accounts for BTS and Blackpink were also in the leading Instagram accounts, highlighting the overall popularity of the two Kpop idol groups.
