In the United States, 3,512 restaurant businesses reopened after being temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the fourth quarter of 2020. In addition, 2,035 financial service businesses reopened during this time. Due to continued pressure, some businesses were forced to temporarily close and reopen more than once. In such cases, only the most recent opening was counted.
