Growth of Telegram downloads via iOS worldwide Q4 2021, by region

During the fourth quarter of 2021, France recorded the highest growth of Telegram downloads on iPad and iPhone devices combined, with an increase of more than 69 percent compared to the previous quarter. Nigeria and Kenya followed with 66.7 percent and 50 percent increase in downloads on iOS devices, respectively. Telegram, which was launched in 2013, is a mobile instant messaging and calls app. The app has become increasingly popular in recent years, with users looking for alternatives to Meta messaging products like WhatsApp and Messenger.
