Stop Online Piracy Act (also known as SOPA) between January 19, 2012 and January 23, 2012, by Senate and House. After internet-wide black-outs and numerous protests on prominent websites on January 18, 2012, SOPA opposition has surged to 122 members of congress, whereas only 63 (of the original 80) bill supporters remained. As of January 22, 2012, SOPA and PIPA have been indefinitely postponed.
