Preferred return methods for online shoppers in the U.S. 2022
According to a survey conducted in 2022, the most popular return method among online shoppers in the United States was dropping off their items at a third-party location, which was preferred by 37 percent of the respondents. The second most preferred option was dropping off items at a mail carrier, chosen by 31 percent of respondents. Coming in third and fourth were pickup from home and drop off at a storefront, with 13 percent and 10 percent of respondents choosing these options, respectively.
