The contribution of English publications to the share of ad volumes in print magazines across India amounted to 46 percent in 2023. Trailing second by a wide margin were Malayalam periodicals at 10 percent ad volume share. The overall advertising revenues raked in by the print industry that year grossed over 177 billion Indian rupees.
