U.S. teen mobile instant messenger users 2015, by urbanity

This statistic presents the share of teen cell phone users who use messaging apps as of March 2015, sorted by urbanity. During the survey period, it was found that 39 percent of teen cell phone users living in urban areas accessed chat apps such as WhatsApp or Kik on their phones. Overall, 33 percent of teen mobile users used mobile messenger apps on their cell phones.
