Most French respondents in 2020 were familiar with the terms Semantic Cocoon (78 percent), Vocal Search (75 percent), Log analysis (58 percent), Crawl budget (51 percent). Only 13 percent were familiar with the AEO term “Answer Engine Optimization”, which is increasingly tending to replace SEO, particularly thanks to the rise of voice searches. * The source adds the following information: " By interviewing more than 100 companies, the study exposes the vision of many sectors, the majority of which are represented by Communication / Marketing / Media (27%), IT (14%), Retail / Mass distribution ( 11%) as well as Banks / Insurance / Financial Services (8%). These activities are aimed at different markets (BtoB 47%, BtoC, 17%, both 36%), whose audiences do not have the same needs or the same search behavior on the Internet. With a panel made up half of traditional companies (54%) and pure players (46%), their business model and their approach to digital are different. The the size of the companies in the panel were made up of 50% SMEs and 29% VSEs."
