Brazil: usage of functions in selected mobile messaging apps 2022

As of July 2022, over 91 percent of the smartphone users surveyed in Brazil claimed to used WhatsApp to exchange text messages. Meanwhile, 68 percent of respondents claimed to use Telegram for this function and 66 percent used it for accessing channels, a feature exclusive to the app. Overall, WhatsApp remains the most used messenger in the country and for all other tasks among its competitors, as the other 83 percent of respondents claimed to use it for exchanging images and voice messages.
